It provides a nice bass note, and holds down the riotous onions and peppers.Carmenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01687973133021607701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805703.post-82028745031387940792007-02-24T22:38:00.000-08:002007-02-24T22:38:00.000-08:00yee haw! thanks, Fritzyee haw! thanks, FritzCarmenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01687973133021607701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805703.post-54075133731985325582007-02-24T20:34:00.000-08:002007-02-24T20:34:00.000-08:00I'm weird -- I like the tomatillos and peppers are...I'm weird -- I like the tomatillos and peppers are essential; not necessarily for the heat but for the taste. But I dislike heavy cilantro -- in most salsas the cilantra is overpowering.

My chili recipe is simple:

* Around a pound of whatever meat is on sale. Tonight, this happened to be leftover ribs from the other day.
* An small onion
* A pepper (serrano or jalapeno)
* Three or four or five tomotoes.
* Garlic.
* Salt and pepper to taste.
* Optionally, a can of kidney beans.

Cut all ingredients into smallish pieces; press or grate the garlic. Brown the meat, onions, pepper and garlic. Throw in the other ingredients and let it stew for an hour or three. Enjoy.Yokota Fritzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04808661100114872654noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805703.post-70622695106380107172007-02-24T12:41:00.000-08:002007-02-24T12:41:00.000-08:00Oh, oh, the onions. Also, lime can be used instead of lemon.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
