Cool Cupolas
I only recently found out what a "cupola" is but I have been a fan for a long time.
A while back I blogged about the village that I call The Hamlet and I was frustrated because I couldn't find an image of the Grammar School where I had taken ballet. I searched again, and I found the above. There are so many things that I love about this building, from the cupola on top, to the arches, the secret doors and its perfect symmetry.

It is a very beautiful building.
a sweet building, dignified with the alice in wonderland trappings (so it sounds from the secret doors). it has a bit of a greek orthodox church look going on, but maybe that's just me and the triple arch portico bit...certainly a nice building to take ballet in, i took baby ballet in a run down tenement. lucky.
hey Chief, hey Jessica, thanks for visiting!
What an international blog this is becoming, Cam! I assume you still take comments from the same county...a different climate zone, that's as good as I can do. (I think you're 15 and I'm 7....)
MY ballet class was behind a mechanic's garage, and I think I was pretty horrible.
