Once we saw El Dos on the screen, we decided that he wasn't just a number anymore, he needed something more... he became Spike (thanks, Dad).
We know, of course, that once he exits the womb, he can't remain "Spike." And, naturally, we have found scads of awful names.
On the top of our hate list are Whiskey Names.
Jack Daniel (or any variation of John/Jack/Jax/Jon/Jaxson/Jackson/Jacques)
Jameson
Jim Beam
Knob Creek
Southern Comfort

So after eliminating winners like "Schleppi" we are leaning toward naming Spike "Daniel". Just one name, like "Madonna" or "Cher".

HA!
You missed the category "Characters from Thomas Pynchon novels" so can still name my son Slothrop.
That is a super list. I think I'll have to forward it to my granddaughter who had the timerity to name my first great-grandson Phineas. OMG! At least he's called Finn but now a second is on the way. maybe he'll e Montezuma of l"chian,or Brie.
