I just inadvertently erased the first "page" of this blog entry. I thought I knew how to save a file. Doggone it! I teach this sort of thing. To wit, I went on at length about this new great
Macaroon recipe I fell in love with. Check it out, its very delicious. Then I jabbered at length about the disasterious quiche I was making at the time, but since then we ate most of it, so it couldn't have been that bad. I was using the 9" spring pan recipe in Michael Ruhlman's
Ratio. I found out you absolutely must read all of the fine print before proceeding. I lamented losing Slug Monitor's Mom's infallible and foolproof version. If I humble myself enough to ask for it again, I'll put it here. After the Ruhlman-Quiche disaster, well, I want to go back!

I think it was Neal Diamond who said "Some days are diamonds; some days are stones." I am sorry for your loss, Camille, but glad for your sensitivity.
