Money has always been a slightly taboo subject in my family. We were punished with fines. If you talked to much about how much money you had, that was boasting, and if you talked about how much you didn't have, it was shameful. Like it should just be there, like the oxygen in the air. And don't talk about it, fool. Even now, to hear someone say they don't have any money, is like hearing them go on and on about their intestinal problems. To want to make money is slightly lower-class, too. Just work your civil-service job and shut up.
