According to the most recent ultrasound, the sea monkey has "knees and elbows, heels and toes" and is looking considerably less shrimp-like and more monkey-like. My energy level is improving - work no longer makes me pass out in the afternoons- but I still dry-heave and vomit during transitions (like walking out the door or leaving the bathroom). Which makes my teacher brain laugh because the "transition" is a four letter word-- its usually the time when even the best group of kids will become unhinged. Teachers spend a ridiculous amount of time and energy training their classes so the dreaded transition goes well. I wish I could do the same with my stomach.
:
"ok, stomach, lets walk slowly out the door, and this time keep your cookies down, otherwise, you are choosing to go to the principal's office--"

I have been tempted to tell the students about my condition and then I am reminded that they are mostly incapable of seeing me as a human being as well as offering any sympathy. So I may as well not waste my breath until I am showing.
