Galactogogue Peanut Butter Cookies

Galactogogue means "milk producing" and while I am not sure that you will get a white issue from your nipples from eating these, they contain some nice nutrition for lactating moms. Etymological aside, does "galaxy" refer to the Milky Way?

Inspired by the old red and white checkered Better Homes cookbook

1/2 c butter
1 c chunky peanut butter
1/2 c blackstrap molasses (for iron)
1/2 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 t vanilla
1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
1/4 t salt
4 heaping T of Brewer's Yeast (for the B vitamins)
1/2 c flax meal (omega 3)
Enough water to mix with the flax meal so it turns to mush

Preheat oven to 350•

Cream egg, fats, sugars and vanilla in one bowl

Mix remaining dry ingredients in another bowl

Mix the bowls together and the flax mush, spoon dough on cookie sheets, press with a fork. Cookie scoops are the best!  Makes 30 cookies.  Cook for 11 minutes @ 350

The next time I make these I am going to add frozon coconut meat. I also want to try it with other nut butters like almond or cashew.  Enjoy and may the The Milk Flow from your Starry Breasts!
