I am still thinking about the general aesthetic experience. And how, as an art teacher, I should be able to guide people on aesthetic experiences on demand. I should be an expert, I am a professional! But my mind is blanking. Does that actually happen? Hard to say. Is there a rubric out there?

Rate your Aesthetic Experience.

On the scale of 1 to 10....

Wouldn't that, by its nature, destroy what it hopes to measure?

The survey wouldn't be the experience. If making art is an experience, then I succeed marvelously every day I teach. But is there more? Do my students ever figure out why they are doing what they are doing? Or is it an exercize that they do becuase they don't want to experience my displeasure.
