dream journal, part deux: the price of fame

My dad was showing me the Wikipedia entry about me on his laptop. He was horrified because it said I was "420 friendly" and he wanted to know what that meant. I assured him that I never smoked pot. I was horrified because the anonymous writer also said I "bled a lot." I continued to poke around the page, clicking on links and looking at the artwork. It was all from my college years-- gaudy abstracts with ugly colors and poorly drawn portraits, but nothing new. I figured it must have been written by someone who knew me only in college. Otherwise, the tone was flattering. I was so intrigued that I looked the entry up in the hard copy of the Encyclopedia Wiki, and there I was, right next to Andy Warhol.

I was at the Bins, found another copy of the volume that I was in, and eager to see myself again, turned past the Warhol entry, only to find a series of blank pages.

It was really more like a nightmare, horrifying and fascinating at the same time.

Cool dreams. I don't think I've ever dreamed of Wikipedia before, let alone the hard copy edition.
