tourists

Dutch and I have been wandering around for days, sampling the local food and seeing the sights. Perhaps the coolest thing so far is the endless dusk. When we left Cal the sun was setting around 8:30 or so. We crashed out at 11:30 and night had just barely fallen. Yesterday we went to the Bijbel Museum. I'll put up a link when I get the chance. It was like super Sunday school- complete with a mummie, a miniature Holy of Holies and a manicured garden featuring Biblical plants. We took the obligatory trip through the red light district (with real red lights- I always thought it was a saying). While the churches are super-sized, the vices seem to be quite human-scaled. We were a bit shocked by the number of tourist children gawking with their parents.
