Shaking the Empty Box

I am writing cover letters right now. I feel like I missed that class where they gave us our impresario skills.

Through sleight of hand and lots of yelling, I shall make this empty shoe box appear to be a massive office building! I'll shake it again, and this time it will be a barge! Yeah! A barge! To carry stuff! Across water! Woo Hoo! Now its a jet plane! If you squint, you can see wings! Watch it fly! Yes, Give me that job! Or at least don't round file this really fantastic resume...

Best of luck. If the shoebox bit is any indication, though, you'll manage just fine. Patience.

Why oh why do cover letters have to be so important? They're just a flashing up of the resume. I guess this is so HR folks can toss without bothering to look at the resume. I hate job hunting.

I've had ONE job interview in the last ten years, and they didn't hire me.....just a mite ego-shriveling.
